Electrician selling drugs busted in Butuan

Butuan City —- An illegal drug peddler, also working as an electrician, falls behind bars as local police implemented an anti-illegal drug operation on Monday (April 6).

Operatives of Butuan City Police Station 2 and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group –ADN Provincial Field Unit, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority 13, staged a buy-bust operation at Purok 3 Barangay Obrero, Butuan City that resulted in the arrest of Rodhil Abrao Garces, 20, a local electrician of Purok 3, Brgy. 18 Obrero, Butuan City.
Garces yielded a total of three pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected ‘shabu’ having an estimated weight of more or less 1.5 grams with a market value of P16,500 along with the P 1,000 buy-bust money and illegal drug paraphernalia.

‘The operation was duly witnessed by DOJ representative and Local Barangay Officials,’ PCol Canilo Fuentes BCPO City Director said. ‘Garces and the confiscated evidence were brought to CIDG headquarters for proper disposition as a case for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared for filing at the local courts,’ he concluded. ###

7 Illegal gamblers collared in Butuan

Butuan City —- The Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) enforces an intensified drive against illegal gambling since Wednesday, April 8, that resulted in the arrest of seven violators including a minor.
Acting on a citizen report of an alleged ongoing illegal gambling activity at Purok 7, Barangay 15, San Ignacio, Butuan City, operatives of Butuan City Police Station 1 (BCPS1) caught Joel Mamparo Pelino, 25, Danilo Mosende Verallo, 45, Arnold Timbal Esgana, 26, Carl Josephine Sanchez Aring, 18, Warren Montante Desoy, 23, Rica Marie Felias, 23 and a minor, in the act of illegally playing ‘Tong-its’. Suspects will be facing charges for violation of PD No. 1602 or the Anti-Illegal Gambling law.
Meanwhile, at 11:30AM of April 9, BCPS2 also conducted an anti-illegal gambling operation at Purok 3, Barangay Upper Doongan, Butuan City and confiscated three live fighting cock, two dead fighting cock and 12 abandoned motorcycle. Thorough investigation is on full swing as suspects were able to evade the arrest.

Drug peddler busted amidst the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine in Butuan

Butuan City — A newly identified Street Level Target drug personality categorized as pusher was arrested through buy-bust operation in this city today (April 6).

Suspect identified as Camilo Magidgad Talledo Jr., 39, was arrested after selling a piece of a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected ‘shabu’ to a poseur buyer at Purok 2 Barangay Holy Redeemer, Butuan City.

Operating troops of Butuan City Police Station 2 and City Intelligence Branch-Drug Enforcement were able to confiscate a total of 0.5 gram with DDB value of P 5,900 along with the P1,000 bill marked money and other personal belongings.

‘We will be filing a case of violation of Section 5 Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against Talledo,’ PCol Canilo Agua Fuentes, BCPO City Director said. ‘Now that we are implementing an Enhanced Community Quarantine, we are not stopping with the rest of our usual police operations, most especially in our fight against criminality,’ he concluded. ###

Butuan City Police sustain operationS vs. Wanted Persons, 5 arrested

Butuan City —- At least five Wanted Person were put behind bars as local police conducted series of manhunt operations across the city since Wednesday (April 1).
Armed with Warrants of Arrest, police force arrested Anthony Cevidad Atienta, 35, at P-8 Santa Lucia, Brgy., Mahogany, Butuan City for the crime of Murder; Jolybeen Tulus Macasero, 22, for the crime of Attempted Homicide; Lendon Ian Montesclaros Sarosad, 28, at P-2A Brgy. Ampayon, Butuan City for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness; Rolchie Curiba Cuizon, 18, arrested at Purok-3, Barangay Doongan, Butuan City for the crime of Robbery with Violence or Intimidation of Persons and Jay Cagampang Escol, 44, at P-15 Sikat Araw, Brgy. Baan Km 3, Alviola Village, Butuan City for the crime of Estafa.
‘As we are pushing forth our efforts in fighting our invisible enemy rest assured that our police operations are still in full swing,’ Butuan City Police Office Director PCol Canilo Agua Fuentes said. ‘We attribute the success of these operations to the cooperation and coordination of the Butuan community,’ he concluded. ###

Newly identified drug peddler busted in Butuan

Butuan City — A newly identified drug personality got arrested through buy-bust operation here on Tuesday (March 24).
Suspect, Edilberto Dumanon Alfante Jr., alias ‘Edilberto Alpante’, 39, was arrested by joint operatives of Butuan City Police Drug Enforcement Teams, Intelligence Branch, Butuan City Mobile Force Company and PDEA13, after selling sachets of suspected ‘shabu’ to a poseur buyer on a staged buy-bust at Purok 14, Relocation, Banana Village, Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City.
Alfante yielded a total of six pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected ‘shabu’ having an estimated weight of 0.9 grams with Standard Drug Price of P10,620; a piece of P1,000 buy-bust money, illegal drug paraphernalia, and other personal belongings.
‘As we are enhancing our preventive measures against CoViD-19, we are still pursuing the rest of our police operations most especially against violators and abusers,’ PCol Canilo Fuentes, BCPO City Director said. ‘We are now preparing pertinent documents for Violation of Section 5, 11 and 12 of Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 to be filed against the suspect at our local courts,’ he further disclosed. ###
